Rabbitry news

What is actually happening here, a week at a time. New litters, who is available, and anything about the rabbits worth telling you. Each week's entry grows as things happen, and every line carries the day it went up.

Week of September 7

  • Their eyes are opening. The August litter is twelve days old and the kits are starting to open their eyes. See the photo.
  • Meet Frederick and Cinnamony. The father and the mother now carry their names on every listing.
  • Teddy is sold. Bought outright. She is here until she goes home.
  • The father on video. Twenty seconds of him in a planter, on his page, beside a new portrait on the brick. Press play. The father.
  • Hear about one litter only. The waitlist can be for one litter only: the August six, the first purebred Holland Lops, or the first Netherland Dwarfs.
  • Where things stand. Available: Butterscotch, $375, ready 22 Sept. Sold: Teddy, Sundae and Cloud.

Week of August 31

  • How long do they live? 8 to 12 years with good care. Most don't get there. The studies.
  • Meet the parents. Open any rabbit and its parents are there; tap either for photos and kits. The three facts under the top photo open what backs them.
  • The litter that started it all. 28 June: five born, four raised, homed before this site existed. The numbering starts there.
  • The August six at ten days. One white, five fawn. In the nest box, one in hand. See them.
  • Six Netherland Dwarfs are home. And a correction: the rabbits listed here are Holland Lop crosses, not Holland Lops. Every listing now says so.
  • Deposit is now $50. Half what it was. It still comes off the price and moves with you if you change your mind.
  • Reservations open 24 September. The August litter opens for reservation from 24 September, at four weeks. The waitlist hears first. Join the waitlist.
  • Where things stand. Available: Butterscotch, $375, ready 22 Sept. Reserved: Teddy. Sold: Sundae and Cloud.
  • No set go-home age. Weaned, eating well for a week, holding weight and healthy. My call. Cards show age, not a countdown.
  • Pair price. Take two together and the second is 20% off. Reserve a littermate before the first goes home and it still counts.

Week of August 24

  • Available rabbits come first. The front page lists who you can buy before the reserved and sold ones.
  • Sundae and Cloud are sold. Sold is its own status now, with the date, wherever a status shows.
  • Teddy is reserved. Reserved shows the day it happened, on the card and in the litters record.
  • Six born. A new litter, with the day-one photo dated in the litters record. Names and reservations at four weeks. The waitlist hears first.
  • Every rabbit has its own link. arizonarabbits.com/r/teddy shows the photo in a text, and keeps working after a sale.
  • Sundae and Cloud reserved. Two of the July four. Teddy and Butterscotch still available that day.
  • All my own photos. The stock photos are gone. Every rabbit on this site is one of mine.
  • New name, same rabbits. Arizona Rabbitry is Arizona Rabbits now. Nobody could spell the old one. The old address still brings you here.
